Overview
Chili belongs to family Solanaceae and grown into a large shrubby perennial herb. Chili demonstrates lipid-lowering, antihypertensive, ant diabetic and anti-obesity effects. It is considered rich in carotenoids and capsaicinoids, which are precursor to vitamin A and several other nutrients. The Chili Fruit is employed in treatment of dyspepsia accompanied by flatulence.
